Welcome to Discipleship Training at Grace Church. All courses are designed to help you grow deeper in your Christian faith and equip you for ministry in the Kingdom. We encourage you to attend as many of these courses as possible and also suggest you invite a friend or neighbor to come.  All classes are open to the public.  Unless specifically noted, there is no cost for any of the courses.  Some classes use workbooks (which are recommended but not mandatory to take the class).  If you are unable to afford the cost of the workbooks, please contact Pastor Chris Eller, 265-0199.

If I Could Ask God Anything...

We all have questions about our faith the world we live in. This summer, Pastor Phil Winfield will look at 10 different questions in a series he is calling, "If I Could Ask God Anything…" By surveying our church congregation, we narrowed a lengthy list of questions down to the top 10 questions men and women have about their faith and how our faith relates to the world around us. Each Wednesday night, Pastor Phil will tackle a new question. At the end of the summer, you will be better equipped to answer the tough questions your friends and family members may ask as they search for real spiritual truth. "If I Could Ask God Anything …." Ten questions in 10 weeks. Get ready to engage the world around you!

The E-Team

The E-Team is a new ministry opportunity at Grace Church focused on evangelism. This class is based on The Way of the Master Basic Training Course by Kirk Cameron and Ray Comfort. We will focus on prayer, equipping, planning and obedience. This will not be a class to simply obtain knowledge, but to focus on fulfilling the great commission. Note: This class will begin on May 7.

Financial Peace University

Would you like to improve your financial life? Are your finances the main cause of stress in your life or marriage? Join this 13-week course with syndicated talk-show host and author, Dave Ramsey. Dave is the author of Financial Peace University and The Total Money Makeover. Come hear a Christian perspective on money and finances! Learn how to be a good steward of that which God has entrusted to you. The format includes video lessons and class discussion. Note: due to the length of this class, FPU will begin on May 14 at 6:45 p.m.

Biblical Word Studies

The Bible was not written in English. For those who take Bible study seriously, it is important to dig into the original Hebrew & Greek to get to the root meaning of the Scriptures. Fortunately, there are many tools available to today's Bible student to assist with word studies. This class will help you discover tools that are designed to make the original languages of the bible accessible to every study of the Word of God.

Parenting the Early Years

Discovering 10 Biblical parenting traits you want your children to remember about you! Each session will include a Biblical foundation, practical teaching, an opportunity to process what you have gained and some practical application. This class is designed for the single parent too. 

Prodigals, Prayer & Praise

Having children or other people in our lives that fit the description of a "prodigal" is a painful, lonely, and heartbreaking situation. We often become overwhelmed, depressed, and fell hopeless about the future. Gathering as believers with this common bond offers us the opportunity to seek God's mercy together, the comfort of His Holy Spirit, and the bond of fellow believers to help carry one another's load. Each week will offer a short bible study, discussion, and prayer. Note: This class will begin at 6:00 p.m. each week.

The Truth Project

The Truth Project is a DVD-based small group curriculum comprised of 12 one-hour lessons taught by Dr. Del Tackett. This study is the starting point for looking at life from a biblical perspective. Each lesson discusses in great detail the relevance and importance of living the Christian worldview in daily life. If you are a current small group leader and are interested in taking your group through The Truth Project, you must attend this class before you can lead a group. NOTE: This class will begin at 6:45 p.m. each week.

A Hunger For the Holy: Nurturing Intimacy with Christ (Men)

Every believer has access to a priceless gift – intimacy with Christ. Through A Hunger for the Holy, participants will develop a deeper love for and walk with God through Christ, gain a new appreciation for the Psalms, strengthen ties with group members, and learn to personalize Scripture in their own lives.

The Grace Church Choir is a ministry that helps lead our church in the praise and worship of our King. Rehearsals are each Wednesday evening from 7:00 to 8:15 p.m. in Room WC117. All who are interested are welcome to join with us.
