Director of Communications

Principle Function
The Director of Communications is responsible for conceptualizing, designing and executing communications concepts and materials across Grace’s various platforms.
Responsibilities
Develop innovative designs and visually pleasing materials to promote positive internal and external communication.
Assist with the execution of Grace’s social media strategy through designing content, across the following channels: Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.
Ensure Grace’s social media presence aligns with branding guidelines, language and style.
Design materials for Grace’s various ministries through both digital (website, social media, etc.) and printed (booklets, posters, postcards, etc.) materials.
Design content for church-wide events, such as Christmas, Easter, KidVenture, Party in the Park, etc.
Design Grace apparel.
Design sermon series graphics throughout the year.
Presence and participation at Grace’s worship services and primary events.
Extra duties as assigned.
Skills, Education and Experience Required
Strives to live a Christ-centered life, stemming from a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Detail-oriented and self-motivated, with good multitasking and organizational abilities.
Works well with others, maintaining positive and effective relationships and communication with church staff and ministries, volunteers, church members, and guests.
Demonstrates honesty and integrity; respects confidentiality, Grace’s policies and team structure.
Works independently and with confidence, demonstrating initiative and ability to work without close supervision.
Is a self-starter, with excellent writing, editing, design (photo/video/text) skills, and the ability to adhere to branding guidelines when doing so.
Ability to foster creative ideas and concepts, with the vision to further the mission of Grace Church.
Commitment to always reflect in the best possible light Grace Church, its staff, and the mission, vision, and values.
Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Lightroom and Premier Pro, Canva, CapCut and samples of demonstrated work in these programs, required.
Experience with designing both print and digital artwork.
Extremely strong organizational skills.
Ability to foster creative ideas and concepts, with the vision to further the mission of Grace Church.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects at once.
